PHNOM PENH: The government of Japan is providing Cambodia with 11 x-ray machines to be installed at border crossing stations for the control of the movement of drugs and other criminal objects, in 2022.

The x-ray scanners were provided to the General Department of Immigration by Japan to help bolster national security and safety during the upcoming ASEAN Summit in 2022, which Cambodia will be chairing.

The Deputy Director General of the General Department of Immigration, Lieutenant General Long Habana, held a meeting to prepare for the installation of the x-ray scanners, and to also prepare a training course on x-ray scanner management techniques.
